Africa Day marks the founding of the Organization of African Unity on 25 May 1963, celebrated annually as a symbol of African unity, independence, and progress.
For the first time, the African Ambassadors Group in Stockholm will adopt a two-day format for Africa Day. This new approach provides room for deeper engagement, while remaining realistic in scope and execution to ensure both quality and sustainability. The first day will be dedicated to a Business Forum, with the second being the traditional cultural celebration.
The Africa Day 2026 celebration in Stockholm will unite African embassies, Nordic and African private sector actors, academia, financial institutions, and the African diaspora.
